We support Local African Businesses to become global businesses.  

Motherlandhomewares sells home and hand made accessories made in Africa. Our products are made to the highest quality. We buy direct from the local traders. Our aim is to support local African business trade themselves out of Poverty. 

Ghana: we do business with a widow, who supports about six children and her elderly parents. She is uniquely talented in sewing. By working with her we are helping her build her business and lift herself and her family out of poverty.

Gambia: supporting local businesses which are mostly small scale.

Rwanda: we work with Solace Ministries in supporting local craftsmen.

90% of Rwandans work in the Agriculture industry. The 1994 genocide decimated Rwanda’s fragile economic base. We help support local businesses.

Botswana/ Cameroon: We buy our textiles from Botswana. Locals are very hard working and their textiles are of the highest quality. They are individually inspected in order to ensure Excellency.

Kenya: We trade with Kenya small scale furniture businesses

We support Local African Businesses in:

Protecting the environment:  We ensure all goods brought, are produced in the most energy efficiency way. We also up skill local traders in Africa on ways to protect the environment; this includes programs like tree planting.       

Trade: We pay a fair price for our goods; we support our partner buy equipments and machines to help their business.

Education: Supporting local Schools

Charity: We work with Solace Ministries. A Charity set up to support widows and orphans affected by the Rwanda genocide in 1994
